Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit

The Women of Power Summit is a professional leadership conference designed especially for executive women of color. This event brought together over 900 influential business women from across the country. The event was held March 2-5, 2015 at the Marriott Harbor Resort and Spa in Ft. Launderdale, FL.  Towanna was on the career coaching team with Deborah Gray-Young.

The Dating Expo, Dallas TX

Towanna was a guest speaker for The Dating Expo presented by The Jennifer Experience.  Her topic, “Making Love Happen After A Bad Breakup.”

CoachDiversity Institute Launch Reception

CoachDiversity Institute leaders, Dr. Towanna Burrous Freeman and Gloria S. Chan, announced that the organization officially launched on Thursday, October 15, 2015. It’s the world’s first coaching institution whose mission it is to empower diverse communities through coaching. The Institute will prepare individuals, companies and organizations for rapid demographic change.

DCPNI Moms on the Move, Washington DC

The Moms on the Move program (MOTM) has been designed to equip women in the Kenilworth-Parkside community with the necessary tools for them to make advancements in education and in the workforce to achieve %100 self-sufficiency.  This program focuses on coaching program participants through weekly sessions to enhance psychosocial skills needed to be successful and productive citizens with in their communities.  Towanna was contracted to deliver three skill building sessions that focused on building women’s capacity in the areas of personal growth and development.

Lead Like You Mean It Summit

Amy Walker hosted a virtual event with 15 expert women who have either passed the million dollar mark or are well on their way.  Towanna’s topic “Coach Diversity from a Leadership Perspective.”

Black Life Coaches Business Strategy Summit

Life coaches, speakers and authors from around the country gathered in Washington, D.C. March 20-22, to participate in the Black Life Coaches Network’s Annual Business Strategy Summit. The summit was organized by Dr. Towanna Burrous Freeman, founder of the Black Life Coaches Network, and featured internationally recognized matchmaker Paul C. Brunson as the keynote speaker, and offered workshops by all-star marketing, sales, branding and social media experts from the black community.
